在时间状语从句中when强调时间点as解释为随着,强调时间推移. eg:As she got older,she become nicer. He pretended to be reading when his mother came in. when也可解释为每当:When it rains,the children always play indoors. as引导的从句和主句多了些逻辑关系，从句描述的动作和主句同步发展，when引导时间状表示某一个时间点，所以as多译为“随着”，when译为“在··的时候”，when放在句中还有译为“突然”的意思。
