hope用来表示希望将来…，常见的用法有：

1、hope (that)（希望某事发生）

I hope that she will answer my letter soon.=I hope that she answers my letter soon.

2、hope to do something（希望做某事）

She hoped to give her a good education.珍妮那时希望给她良好的教育。

3、hope for（盼望得到）

注意：没有hope someone to do something的说法。

4、其他用法说明

①in the hope of doing=in hope of=in hopes of doing 怀着希望做某事。

②I have no hope of（doing）sth. 没有做某事的的希望了，当事人还是想做。

③没有hope ***. to do sth.的用法，均转化为hope that ***. will do。

④过去式的hoped to do：确实是希望干某事，也就是“希望”这个动作发生时，那件事还没发生，当事人愿意看到发生。
