Qixi Festival Doggerel

凌晨五点大雨淋，

It was raining hard at five this morning

许是牛郎泪汗倾。

Maybe it was the tears and sweat shed by Niulang

急急忙忙银河去，

He went to the Milky Way in a hurry

情切切兮会亲人。

To see his beloved one passionately

世间唯有真情爱，

Only true love in the world

感动***与帝尊

Could move Queen Mother and Jade Emperor

老天多久未降雨，

How long had it not rained

偏偏选在七夕晨。

It happened to rain on Qixi in the morning
