1. use意为“用；使用；运用”，单三形式为uses，例如：She uses knife to cut apples.她用刀子切水果；过去式为used，如：Tom used my pen last night昨晚汤姆用了我的钢笔；现在分词为using，如：Look, your mother is using new spoon. 看，你妈妈在用新勺子。后跟动词不定式，结构为： use sth. to do sth. 使用某物做某事。例如： You can use my new dictionary to look up the words. 你可以用我的字典查单词。

2. 区分used to do, be used to do与be used to doing。

(1)used to do 意为“曾经”。eg: I used to be a teacher, now I am a doctor. 曾经我是老师，现在我是医生。

(2) be used to do意为“被用来做某事”。

eg: Pencils are used to write English. 铅笔是用来写字的。

(3) be used to doing. 习惯于做某事；适宜于做某事

eg: I used to live a small village, but now I am used to living in big citylife. 我曾经居住在农村，但现在我习惯大城市的生活。
